Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ChronicleCodex ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

ChronicleCodex provides tabletop RPG content creation tools, including a D&D 5e Monster Creator, Spell Creator, Campaign Forge campaign planner, a Community Gallery for sharing creations, and the Codex AI assistant (which can connect to AI providers using API keys you supply). Some features are under active development and may be marked as "Coming Soon."

3. User Accounts

You may create an account using email/password or Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of content you create using our tools (monsters, spells, campaigns, characters, etc.). By saving content to our cloud service, you grant ChronicleCodex a limited license to store and display that content back to you.

If you submit content to the Community Gallery, you additionally grant ChronicleCodex a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display that content publicly on the Service, and you grant other users permission to view it and create derivative versions ("remixes") within the Service, with attribution to you. Gallery submissions are reviewed by moderators before publication and may be declined or removed at our discretion. You can request removal of your published gallery content at any time via the dashboard or by contacting us.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Upload malicious content or code

6. Intellectual Property

ChronicleCodex and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by ChronicleCodex and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. D&D content used in our tools is limited to open content available under the Open Game License or Creative Commons.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. ChronicleCodex shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
