D&D 5e Loot Generator & Treasure Tracker

Roll a hoard, build the table it came off, and remember who is carrying it.

A free treasure generator and loot tracker for D&D 5e. Roll a hoard for an encounter and get coins and magic items drawn from the SRD's own tables, or build a rollable table yourself, entry by entry, with weights or printed roll ranges. Generated tables arrive as ordinary entries you can rename, reweight and delete, because a generator that hands back something you cannot edit is just a slower way to be told no.

The toughest thing guarding it. Fractions are fine.

Halve it for a lean campaign, double it for a generous one.

The coins follow our own scheme, leaner than the Dungeon Master’s Guide hoard tables (which are not in the free SRD); raise the coin multiplier for a bigger hoard.

Questions people actually ask

How much treasure should a party find?

Less often than they expect, and more at once. A hoard after a real fight lands better than a trickle of coins after every room, and the party remembers the one that mattered. The coin multiplier here exists so you can run lean or generous without arguing with the tool.

Where do the magic items come from?

The SRD's own Magic Item Tables, which 267 items are tagged with. The bands that decide which table a challenge rating draws from are ours and are editable — they are a reasonable starting point, not a rule.

Can I build my own table?

Yes, and you can generate one and then edit it, which is usually faster. Entries take a weight or a printed roll range; a table with weights rolls perfectly well without ever showing a number, and assigning ranges is there for when you want the printed-table look.

Can I put my own items on a table?

Yes. Anything you make in the Item Creator is drawn on here straight away, published or not, and anything published to the community gallery is here alongside the SRD. Any entry or haul line opens in the Item Creator too, to make your own version. An entry can also just be a line of text: "a letter, sealed in black wax" is a perfectly good result.
