3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Firebase (Google Cloud Platform) with industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest. Profile photos are stored in Firebase Storage with access controls limiting visibility to authenticated users.

• Firebase: Authentication, database, storage, and hosting (Google LLC)
• Cloudflare: CDN and security services
• Google Analytics: Usage analytics (via Firebase)

6. Cookies and Local Storage

We use browser local storage to save your preferences (such as dark mode) and session data. We use Firebase session cookies for authentication purposes.

While ChronicleCodex includes a "Kids Corner" section, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The Kids Corner is designed to be used under parental supervision.
