Rustcall
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: 60 feet
Components: V, S, M (a flake of rust taken from a blade that has killed)
Duration: Instantaneous
Description
You speak the long, patient word that iron fears, and every worked metal within range answers with a sigh of red dust.
Choose a point you can see within range. Each construct and each creature made primarily of metal in a 20-foot-radius sphere centered on that point must make a Constitution saving throw, taking 6d8 acid damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
Every nonmagical metal object in the area that isn't being worn or carried corrodes instantly: blades dull and pit, chains part, hinges crumble, and locks fall open. A nonmagical metal weapon or suit of armor that is worn or carried takes a permanent and cumulative -1 penalty to the damage it deals or to the AC it offers. If the penalty reaches -5, the item is destroyed.
Adamantine objects and magic items are unaffected, and the spell has no effect on stone, wood, bone, or flesh. Rustcall is a favorite of siege-breakers and a nightmare for anyone who has just paid for plate.
Damage
6d8 acid damage
At Higher Levels
When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d8 and the radius of the sphere increases by 5 feet for each slot level above 4th.
