Summon Draconic Guardian
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: 60 feet
Components: V, S, M (a gilded dragon scale worth 400 gp worth 400 gp)
Duration: Concentration, up to 1 hour (concentration)
Description
You conjure a Large draconic spirit, a guardian wyrm woven from raw elemental breath, in an unoccupied space you can see within range. Choose a damage type when you cast the spell: acid, cold, fire, lightning, or poison. The guardian's scales, breath, and bearing reflect your choice.
The spirit is friendly to you and your companions and obeys your commands. It acts on your initiative, immediately after you. It uses the Draconic Guardian stat block: AC 16, hit points equal to 40 plus 15 for each spell slot level above 6th, a walking speed of 30 feet and a flying speed of 40 feet. On its turn it can take a Multiattack, making two Rending Claw strikes (each +8 to hit, reach 10 feet, dealing 2d6 + 4 damage of the chosen type).
Once on each of its turns, in place of one claw, the guardian can exhale a 30-foot cone of its chosen element. Each creature in the cone makes a Dexterity saving throw against your spell save DC, taking 6d8 damage of the chosen type on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one.
If you issue no command, the guardian defends the space around it and attacks the nearest creature hostile to you. When the spell ends, or if your concentration is broken, the draconic spirit disperses into a fading gust of elemental vapor.
At Higher Levels
When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 7th level or higher, the guardian gains 15 additional hit points and its breath weapon deals an extra 1d8 damage for each slot level above 6th.
