Description

Corva Ashclaw is the bounty hunter the waystations send for when someone walks into the Sablewaste owing more than money. She works the road alone, sleeps in the lee of wagons she has not been hired to guard, and states her one rule to anyone who asks: she brings people back alive, because a corpse cannot explain itself. Appearance

Lean and copper-furred, ears notched from old fights she will not discuss. Travels light: a coil of rope, a brass whistle and a ledger far too thick for the number of jobs she admits to taking.

Motives

Corva only takes contracts that come with a story attached and turns down the ones that do not. She is assembling something out of them, and she is nearly certain that the last four names she collected were all paid for by the same hand.

Personality

Writes every name she is hunting on the inside of her forearm in grease pencil and refuses to wash it off until the job closes. She reads the list aloud when she is thinking, which is how most people find out they are on it.

Voice

Flat and conversational, as though describing the weather. Laughs exactly once per conversation, almost always at the wrong moment.
